Mosaic stitches are worked in three-stitch groups creating a beautifully textured appearance. They can be worked horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
To make this stich horizontally (could also be done diagonally), bring your needle up at A, cross over one diagonal thread, and go down at B. Bring needle up at C, cross over two diagonal threads and go down at D. Your needle then comes back up at E, crosses one diagonal thread and re-enters canvas at F.
Remember, when working mosaic stitches, at the end of each row, you should completely turn your canvas around.
