The National Needle Arts Association (TNNA)

Brief History of Association:

Established in 1975, The National Needle Arts Association, also known as TNNA, is and international organization representing manufacturers and wholesalers of needlework products world wide.

At present time, TNNA represents 1500 businesses in many positions of the needlework industry.

Association Purpose:

The National Needle Arts Association's purpose is to "provide a forum in which all sectors of the needlearts industry interact. TNNA offers it's members opportunities to discuss and exchange ideas, techniques, obtain valuable business education, address industry issues and, most importantly "do business".

Association Mission:

TNNA's mission is "to advance it's community of professional businesses by encouraging passion for needlearts through professional and consumer education, industry knowledge exchange, and a strong marketplace".

Association Vision:

TNNA's vision is "an invigorated needlearts market where all sectors of the industry partnership to bring value to consumers and to maintain a healthy and growing industry".

The National Needle Arts Association hosts an impressive homepage.

With easy to navigate pages, you will find message boards, retail directory, event calendar, industry news reports, and educational resources which include crochet, cross stitch, embroidery, knitting, and needlepoint.

TNNA's Outreach Against Breastcancer:

Perhaps one of the best features of this association is "Stitch To WIN Against Breast Cancer".

Led by The National Needle Arts Association and hosted by local retailers, participants can stitch a small needlework project of stitch on inch of a larger wall hanging depicting the Breast Cancer Research Stamp.

To date, over $35,000.00 has been raised by loving hands wishing to help in this fight.

Membership Costs:

TNNA offers two types of membership:

The first, offered to wholesale members is based on a percentage of yearly gross sales. Contact TNNA for further information on this option.

The second, is for retail and affiliate members and has an annual fee of $60.00.
